Trump had plenty to thank Sununu for on his birthday
The NHGOP threw President Trump a birthday party, but they skipped the gifts since Governor Chris Sununu has been bending over backwards to give Trump everything he could possibly ask for ever since they both took office. Sununu has stood with Trump through the healthcare repeal debacle, to his reckless disregard of climate change, to the promotion of dangerous voter fraud conspiracy theories. He defended Trump through the racist Muslim Ban, the release of the sexist Access Hollywood tape, and the outrageous comments . . .

Sununu’s leadership failure on commuter rail dashes the hopes of NH businesses
While Governor Sununu has been a fierce opponent of extending MBTA commuter rail service into New Hampshire for his entire political career, he briefly supported the idea of funding a rail feasibility study in order to appeal to Amazon while the company scouted locations for a new headquarters. When Amazon rejected Sununu’s bid, he made a behind-the-scenes effort to kill the rail study funding legislation that he had just set in motion. New Hampshire’s small business community has repeatedly petitioned . . .

Sununu misleads and attempts to distort his record in State of the State address
In his State of the State speech this morning, Governor Sununu consistently manipulated his record to try to create the appearance he’s doing anything other than looking out for his wealthy family, friends, donors, and corporations while in office. Here’s a list of his “accomplishments” so far in office, and the reality behind them. Sununu’s budget When Sununu congratulated himself for . . .

Sununu tries his “doublespeak” routine on paid family leave
When asked in a Seacoast Online interview whether he supports paid family leave, a bipartisan measure that passed the New Hampshire House yesterday, Governor Chris Sununu refused to level with the people of New Hampshire and employed his favorite “doublespeak” routine…again. Instead of outlining a firm position on the issue, he said he “loves the concept” but thinks it’s “unsustainable” and too “expensive.” This is Governor Sununu’s favorite tactic to try to mislead voters and avoid taking a position on critical issues for New Hampshire. Yesterday was far from . . .

Sununu continues pushing unpopular GOP tax plan to benefit corporate special interests
In a letter written last Friday, Governor Sununu set himself up to reverse course on the GOP tax plan by falsely blaming the Congressional delegation for the bill’s worst Republican provisions. Sununu has been a strong supporter of the GOP tax plan from day one in spite of the fact that the proposal is one of the most partisan, unpopular bills in modern American history. Granite Staters will see right through Sununu’s latest effort to muddy the waters and will hold him accountable for his support of this . . .

Sununu tells a whopper on GOP tax plan
Today, after his closed-door meeting with Vice President Pence, Sununu tried to grossly mislead the people of New Hampshire about the fact that hundreds of thousands of Granite Staters will be hurt by the GOP tax bill. Sununu said of the GOP tax bill: “At the end of the day, this will be a net positive for the majority of low and middle income families in this country.” But here are the facts: Reality Check: This bill is projected to raise taxes on households earning less than $75,000 . . .

Helping corporate special interests at the expense of working families
As part of the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s “Sununu Reality Check” accountability project, we will be highlighting the ways in which Chris Sununu’s out-of-touch policies benefit his friends, family, donors, and corporate special interests instead of average Granite Staters. Each day this week, we will address one of the project’s five areas of concern. Today’s focus is on Sununu’s economic failings: “Governor Sununu has chosen corporate tax breaks over working families over and over again. In doing so, he’s telling the average . . .
